Description: Each time you torque the cam sprocket bolt (as you do with every timing belt service) it stretches a little more, and holds a little less clamping force. In severe cases, the bolt will neck out and allow the cam sprockets to turn out of time with the crank, causing the pistons to hit the intake valves.
Don’t let this happen to you! Replace the cam sprocket bolts with every timing belt change!
