Hi-Torque starter installation and fitment was also a breeze and I can't believe how lightweight it is (9-lbs versus 16-lbs for stock OEM starter) plus how quickly it starts the car. Description: This is a super-hi torque gear-reduction starter that is a bolt-in swap for Porsche® Part number 928 504 103 01 used between 1977 and 1986 on 928 engines.
Fitment Note: if using the Lightweight Hi-Torque Starter on a car with a 60-tooth timing ring, a small amount of material will need to be removed from the nose casting of the starter. A die-grinder or bench grinder will do a good job. Ask, and we can send you a photo of the little bit that needs to be removed.
